Giardino all'Italiana

Francesco Bertoldi, gardener of Villa Manin, carried out the garden’s design, he also supervised the construction of a futuristic underground irrigation system. Built between 1778 and 1784 and already registered in the 1804 napoleonic land register

the garden’s access is a majestic wrought iron gate, flanked by fishponds. The garden is made up of alternating grassy squares and rectangles and gravel driveways.

The boxwood hedges with rectangular and spherical shapes divide the lawn flowerbeds from the gravel paths, creating an elegant and refined environment capable of making unique any photographic set, an aperitif special, or being the backdrop for a romantic wedding proposal.
